From 17th to 30th August 2014 National Itorero Commission in collaboration with Ministry of Education conducted two weeks of Itorero student committees of universities and High Learning institutions. The trainees were 238 students who participated successfully in that session. The training was aimed to provide skills to the students in the context of being able to launch National service in their universities. The participants have been trained in various domains related to their upcoming responsibilities. All trainers reminded the participants that they constitute the work force of Rwanda. In this perspective the training should be an opportunity to show what they are able to do for the country.
The State Minister in Ministry of Education Olivier RWAMUKWAYA during his opening remarks presented the objectives of the training and call up to become the role model within their institutions.
The Minister of Defense General James KABAREBE call up the students to engage in development battle because they have everything and there is no excuse for failure.
The Chairman of NIC RUCAGU Boniface declared that is satisfied and confident on the skills given during the training, and there is no doubt that these students will contribute in development of the country through national service.
